Doormat
Doormat is a light puzzle top-down metroidvania. Explore a mysterious world and solve brain-teasing traversal puzzles to progress. Find hidden items and reveal the secrets in top-down adventure!
This is my first game made in godot. I've learnt a lot as an amateur game developer. I hope you enjoy the puzzles as much as I enjoyed making it!

Awesome little game! Great puzzles, structured and with good progression. Reminds me a lot of Animal Well and Crosscode in the best ways possible. Can't wait to see what more you'll develop!
Pretty well made. Good puzzle progression. 10/10
absolutely fantastic game, reminded me of why i got into game dev in the first place. The progression of mechanics is well done, the mixing of mechanics to introduce more and more complex puzzles is top tier game design. The whole thing is tight, I cannot say enough positive things. Would you ever do a break down of how you developed it, or a walkthrough of you approach to puzzle design? Regardless, keep building things!
Supported you :)
thank you! those are some really nice words! and thank you for much for the support!
Really god game, bro
haha thank you!
a
this is an awesome fun game!
thank you doug!!! cant wait to see the progress of your game too!
Very nice metroidvania! I like the pixel art and the mechanics.
thank you! im glad u enjoyed it!
awesome game! had a lot of fun playing it! i especially love the mechanics
thank you! im glad u enjoyed it!
got the usb ending!
well done on the puzzles!
AYYY glad u found the secret ending! thank you for playing!
A walkthrough would be awesome. Some of the later rooms are really tricky.
Ok.. so I have activated all the bottles. I cannot figure out a way to get to the photo 2 location. Seems like I am missing a platform? I am not even sure which direction to try and approach it. Edit - I was over-complicating it.
haha i might do a walkthrough if people really want it! but it seemed like u got it tho. Glad u had fun!
Ive been watching this game being made on youtube a short while after I discovered you on instagram, and its so exciting to finally see that its done and playable. I came on here as soon as I could after I saw the release trailer and couldn't wait to start, and oh man I was not disappointed.
The beginning areas felt like they introduced the mechanics well while still providing a unique challenge, the last area made me think really hard in some moments--in the best way possible--which let me have those big "aha!" moments once I figured it out. The NPCs all had so much character despite saying so little. Overall everything was super engaging and fun, its been the best puzzle game ive played in awhile. I don't usually play this genre of games but Ive enjoyed all the content you make so I didn't want to pass this up! Keep up the great work!
If anyone is slightly interested in playing this I definitely recommend it, its a short but solid game that expands on its mechanics thoroughly.
(I wasn't quite sure what to do after I solved all the photo hints...so i finished the game, im wondering if i didn't check hard enough?)
aww thank you! Those are incredibly kind words :) honestly didnt expect this kind of feedback
Im not going to ask you to play the entire game again, but those photo hints can be accessed through the pause menu, and u can use those to find secret areas if you look closely at the photos :)
either way, absolubtely stoked that you enjoyed it!
I'm pretty sure that one of the puzzles in the final area is literally impossible.
You see this blue switch? Well, it makes the striped platform in the lower right corner change to be to the lower right of the switch. I need to switch it back to progress.
The thing is? There's NO WAY to get to the blue switch in the other room, AND the platform on the lower right is needed to gain access to said room!
Doesn't help that there seems to be no way to backtrack, either; the platforms and walls are too far away from each other.
thanks for playing! There is 100% a way to gain access to this room without using that striped platform. See if there are any angled walls that look suspicious…
also, dont forget to zoom out and find your bearings!
I found the solution! Sorry for the crashout.
all good! No worries, glad u found the solution! Also sorry to have u play it all over again if you had to start over
Got recycled by God 10/10
ikr it feels so good to be recycled by god
Looks like it doesn't run on a 12-year old laptop, who would've guessed 😂
Edit: it randomly works now
ahh sorry that didn’t work for you!! That rlly sucks…
